AR-based Experiential Learning on Eye Diseases

In collaboration with a team led by Dr. Joseph Y.K. Chan from the Department of Ophthalmology of the University of Hong Kong, our school organized the “AR-based Experiential Learning on Eye Diseases” in June 2022 for staff and Form 2 students.

Through a multisensory learning approach, our students and staff learnt the visual symptoms of various major-vision-threatening diseases. During the programme, participant put on the augmented reality (AR) glasses to experience the visual symptoms of several eye diseases, and to complete tasks that simulate activities of daily living with the simulated impaired vision.
