Founded in Buffalo, New York, the United States in 1919, Zonta International is an international service organization with the mission of advancing the status of women. Its headquarter is currently in Chicago, the United States. The organization’s name “Zonta” is a Native American word, which means honest or trustworthy. With the aim to voice opinion for women’s right, Zonta International helps underprivileged women, as well as the elderly, youths and the needy in the community.

Our school is honored to be supported by the Zonta Club of Kowloon. An installation ceremony was held on 25 November as we witnessed the inauguration of a new batch of student leaders who are passionate about women’s right and community services.

We are also honored to receive four guests from the Zonta Club of Kowloon, namely Ms. Ada Fung, Club President (2022-2024), Ms. Cecilia Yao, First Vice President, Ms. Cecilia Kuk, Past President (2020-2022) and Ms. Juliana LAM, Z Club School Advisor. After welcoming speeches by Sister Lucy Chung, the Supervisor and Ms. Mok Kit Yue, the Principal, an installation ceremony of the new committee of IHMC Z Club was hosted by Ms. Cecilia Kuk. 9 committee members vowed before Ms. Cecilia Kuk, promising that they would strive for the best in serving their community. The first IHMC Z Club president Kung Huen Nok from 6 Mark also reported their fruitful year in 2021-2022, and provided insight for the new committee members. The second IHMC Z Club president, Huang Jie Ying from 5 Mark then presented her vision and plans for this academic year. She expressed gratitude towards our esteemed guests and hope for the IHMC Z Club to develop and nurture student leaders who care about and serve our community.
