We are pleased to announce that 5 of our F.5 students obtained top 2 in the gifted program organized by the Chinese University of Hong Kong – “Engaging with Urban History to Promote Deep Learning: Thinking, Seeing, and Reading the Built Environment in Hong Kong and Beyond”. Funded by the EDB Gifted Education Fund, our students have dedicated their hard work to learning about urban history and urban planning from June 2022 to February 2023. Not only did students spend around 30 hours of lectures and site visits, but they also chose a topic that they were interested in and completed excellent research and presentation. Their research focused on various factors contributing to the Black Death, with the title “How Great Plague affect people’s attitude on the importance of public health”. Their detailed and inquisitive research was rewarded with the prize of first runner up and top 2 of all groups in the course.
