Three of our F.6 students, Sham Yan Yu, Shek Hiu Ching and Siaw Ho Yan have obtained the Merit Award in the Senior Division (Written Report) of the 12th Inter-school Competition of Project Learning on Hong Kong’s History and Culture. Their project focused on the theme of “At Home in Hong Kong: Stories of Chinese Immigrants over a Hundred Years” and explored the stories and legacy of Sha Tin Wai Village.

To establish a connection with our community, our students chose to delve into the nearby walled village of Sha Tin Wai. Through their research, they empathized with the hardships and joy experienced by the Hakka people who settled in Sha Tin Wai. They were also fascinated by the rich culture and enduring traditions upheld by the Village.

We would to like express our gratitude to our Mrs. Jenny Choi, a Sha Tin Wai Villager and to HON Yim Kong and his staff working for Legislative Council in the Shatin District Office for their assistance of any kind.
